Container
With Brazil’s new Port Law (Law nº 12.815/13), private ports have been given the right to handle cargo from third parties. This change expanded the horizons of the private sector, boosting port investments, mainly in the containerized cargo sector.
Today, Brazil has the opportunity to have modern container terminals that can compete at the same level of the largest container terminals in the world.
With an access channel of 300 meters wide and up to 25 meters deep, Porto Central will be able to meet the trend of increasingly larger container vessels able to carry more than 15 thousand TEUs (Twenty Foot Equivalent Units).
With its strategic location and with the expectation of having a modern container terminal and capable of operating the largest vessels in the industry, Porto Central aims to become one of the largest container hubs in Brazil.
