In the morning of this Saturday, July 25th, a dredge ship belonging to the Dutch company Van Oord Dredging and Marine Contractors, stopped in front of the area where Porto Central project will be installed while on its way to the Port of Santos, after concluding dredging activities at the Port of Ubu in Anchieta/ES. The purpose of the aforementioned stop was to make videos and photographs for marketing and advertising campaigns of Van Oord / Porto Central.
Van Oord is one of the construction companies responsible for the execution of the maritime works in Porto Central, scheduled to start in the first half of 2021, after complying with all the environmental conditions of Porto Central’s Installation License nº 1.203/2018 that are in progress in the region.
During its short stay in the waters of Presidente Kennedy, the dredger quickly activated its water pumping system, solely for advertising purposes. Porto Central clarifies that there was no operational activity in the area or any activity aimed at intervention of the seabed.
Porto Central reinforces that acts in full environmental compliance and continues to comply with the environmental conditions established in its Installation License.
