What will be different about Porto Central compared to other ports?

Porto Central is a multi-purpose deepwater port. It is strategically located in the center of the Brazilian coast and differentiates itself from other ports in Brazil due to its ability to receive large ships and operate efficiently in a variety of segments, including solid and liquid bulk, containers, general cargo and industries.

Its central location offers significant logistical advantages, reducing land and sea transport distances to important domestic and international markets. Furthermore, the new port will likely feature modern infrastructure and cutting-edge technology, ensuring operational efficiency, shorter waiting times and greater cargo handling capacity. These characteristics make the new port an attractive option for companies looking for a competitive and efficient logistics solution in Brazil.

Why start building a port and not take advantage of the existing ones?

Starting the construction of a new port is necessary due to the limitations of the existing port infrastructure in Brazil. Many of today’s ports face challenges such as obsolete infrastructure, lack of depth to accommodate large ships, congestion due to queues of ships and operational inefficiencies. Furthermore, the expansion capacity of these ports is limited due to the lack of available space in adjacent areas.

Given the growing market demand and the need to maintain the country’s competitiveness in the global scenario, new ports are essential. Porto Central is planned to become a world-class, modern, deep-water, multi-purpose port, capable of meeting cargo transport needs effectively, providing greater capacity, flexibility and operational efficiency.

The construction of Porto Central is a strategic measure to meet growing demand, overcome the limitations of existing ports and ensure that Brazil maintains its position as an important player in international trade.

What advantages will Porto Central offer investors?

The construction of Porto Central will offer significant advantages to investors, providing a substantial return on investment. With modern and efficient port infrastructure, investors can expect a more profitable and competitive operation, resulting in reduced logistics costs, greater profit margins and financial returns. Furthermore, the port’s strategic location offers unique logistical and commercial advantages.

Investors who choose to settle in Porto Central can benefit from easy access to important maritime trade routes, reducing transport costs and expanding their market reach to local and international destinations. Another advantage for investors is the ability to expand their business in a scalable way over time, as the port develops and grows. This creates additional investment and portfolio diversification opportunities.

Porto Central, as an industrial port complex, will provide a vibrant and sustainable economic ecosystem in the region.

Why will Porto Central offer a more efficient route to Asia?

Its privileged position, in the center of the Brazilian coast, places Porto Central in close proximity to the main maritime trade corridors and international shipping routes, offering, in particular, an efficient route to the Asian market, reducing the total distance to be covered by the ships, reducing transport costs and travel time to destinations in Asia.

Furthermore, the location of Porto Central in the State of Espírito Santo, in the Southeast Region of Brazil, also offers easy access to other modes of land transport, such as highways, railways and pipelines, facilitating the efficient flow of goods to the port and to the interior of the country.

What is the origin of the investment?

Private investment by Porto Central’s shareholders.

What is the corporate origin of Porto Central?

The project is managed by the company “Porto Central Complexo Industrial Portuário S.A.”, a privately held company created in 2014, controlled by a single shareholder, the company TPK Logística S.A.

TPK Logística S.A. was created in 2011 by entrepreneurs from Espírito Santo with extensive experience in the areas of port operations, mining, civil construction, logistics, offshore industry and energy.
