Iron Ore
Brazil is one of the largest exporters of iron ore in the world, reaching the mark of 374 million tons in 2016. The implementation of the new EF-352 and EF-118 railways will allow additional volume of iron ore from Minas Gerais be transported on a large scale to the Brazilian coast.
In this scenario, Porto Central is a new and efficient port for the flow of minerals and export on an independent basis. Porto Central is a deep-water port and can receive vessels such as Valemax capable of carrying over 350 thousand tons of iron ore.
The port complex will also provide the possibility of the construction of pelletizing plants in its industrial area and/or adjacent to it, optimizing the means of production.
