Porto holds a series of meetings to start Phase 1 works

FASE 1

Next Monday, July 3rd, a new cycle of preparatory meetings will begin between Porto Central and communities in the municipalities of the Area of ​​Direct Influence (AID) and Indirect Influence (AII) in the region where the port infrastructure will be installed, culminating in a general Public Meeting, to be held on July 20th, at 6 pm, in Presidente Kennedy (ES).

There will be 11 preparatory meetings with the aim of offering more information about the port project, focusing on changing PHASE 1, before the start of works, as well as clarifying, engaging and ensuring greater space for debate with society.

Still in 2023,PHASE 1 will begin, which involves the construction of 4 of the 70 projected berths. The Porto Central MasterPlan, already with a Preliminary License, is for the occupation of an area of ​​approximately 2,000 hectares, but its construction will be divided into phases, which will considerably reduce the peak workforce in this initial phase .

It is worth noting that the job vacancies will be aimed primarily at local residents (AID and AII) and that the companies hired must also have a majority of workers from the region on their staff, in addition to giving priority to prepared local suppliers.

All meetings are open to the public, free of charge and participation is voluntary. There will be transport for residents of the municipalities where the meetings will be held and who have difficulty traveling to the event location.
