Meeting aligns ethics and operational conduct for workers and suppliers in initial activities.
On Tuesday, December 3, Porto Central hosted its first integration meeting with the teams involved in the execution of Phase 1 of the port. Held at the administrative headquarter in Presidente Kennedy (ES), the event focused on aligning ethical, operational, and strategic standards among employees, suppliers, and managers to ensure the initial activities are conducted with responsibility, compliance, and operational excellence.
The integration session aimed to familiarize all participants with the company's institutional guidelines and values with its stakeholders. Training sessions of this nature are designed to foster a safe, transparent, and collaborative work environment, mitigate risks, and ensure all professionals understand their individual and collective responsibilities. This approach is essential to ensure operations are conducted ethically and efficiently, directly impacting the quality of the project and generating positive effects for the local community and the environment.
Key topics discussed during the meeting included workplace harassment, both moral and sexual, social responsibility, the General Data Protection Law (LGPD), and the Porto Central Code of Ethics. These issues were addressed comprehensively, reinforcing the company’s commitment to adhering to current legislation and international best practices.
The importance of communication channels, particularly the reporting channel, was also emphasized during the session. Available 24/7 for employees, suppliers, and other stakeholders, the channel ensures a secure platform for reporting misconduct such as harassment, discrimination, or any practices violating institutional norms. All reports will be handled by an independent and specialized organization, ensuring confidentiality and addressing issues in alignment with Porto Central’s governance principles.
The integration meeting marks the beginning of a promising journey for Porto Central, positioning the port as one of the most significant port infrastructure developments in Brazil and reinforcing its commitment to regional development and sustainability.
