The virtual meeting brings together approximately 15 organizations and reaffirms Porto Central's commitment to transparency
The Social Participation Forums (FPS) of Porto Central were resumed last Thursday (12/12/24). The virtual meeting included the participation of approximately 15 representative organizations that integrate the Monitoring Commission of the Socioeconomic Monitoring Program (CAMPOC), the Regional Development Management Committee (CGDR), and the Labor Mobilization and Demobilization Management Committee (CGMD).
During the meeting, information was shared and discussed regarding the start of construction on the port and a retrospective of the actions already implemented, including the results achieved to date. The event also addressed questions from the community on topics of interest, such as the processes for registering CVs and suppliers.
Organizations interested in joining the FPS had the opportunity to present their institutional missions and justify their requests for membership. During the assembly, these requests were analyzed, debated, and voted on by the members present. The meeting also included the review and updating of the Work Plan, with objectives and strategies adjusted for the 2023-2025 period to align with the group’s new demands and priorities.

The Social Participation Forums (FPS) are considered highly significant by Porto Central. Through these forums, organized civil society (such as associations, NGOs, public authorities, companies, academies, and others) has a voice in planning, organization, monitoring, evaluation, and developing proposals in the fields of socioeconomics, economic development, and workforce mobilization and demobilization.
Participation requires a valid company registration (CNPJ) and completion of a registration form for the groups in which the organization has the most interest in participating. The Social Participation Forums consist of three programs:
CAMPOC
Focused on social and industrial infrastructure and services in Porto Central’s Direct Influence Area (AID), this committee conducts regular evaluations to identify potential socioeconomic changes resulting from the implementation and operation of the port complex. It also assesses the need for measures to mitigate negative impacts or enhance positive ones.
CGDR
This committee aims to foster sustainable regional business development in the Direct Influence Area of Porto Central by encouraging local businesses to supply goods and services required by large companies, including Porto Central itself.
CGMD
Dedicated to promoting regional development, this committee focuses on generating employment, and income, improving quality of life through professional training, prioritizing local labor, and managing the flow of workers mobilized and demobilized by the project and its subcontractors within Porto Central's Direct Influence Area.
